With it's silvery tinged leaves Oleaster is a delightful option for a more original evergreen hedge. Throughout the spring it has an abundance of orange berries which attract the birds and these are followed by autumn flowers, which means you get year round interest. Oleaster is better in slightly drier soils, though it is less concerned about the amount of sun it receives. Plants supplied 20cm high and grow 30 60cm per year.
